Antique Embroidered French Vestment Alpha Omega Green Salesman’s Sample Chasuble. Antique French Design for a Catholic Chasuble. Salesman’s sample from the New York – Lyon firm Leon Kunstenaar, hand woven red and gold embroidered Alpha Omega surrounding a Tau Rho cross on green shantung silk, 19 by 31 inches, in very good condition (the item is wrinkled and creased). On the upper left corner is the original hand written item label. The back is lined in green silk and has the original “Leon Kunstenaar” and “Made in France” labels sewn at the top. It needs to be properly dry-cleaned. From my research, the Leon Kunstenaar firm was in business in New York approximately between 1890 and 1950.
