Chasuble Vestment Kasel Messgewand

This vestment comes complete with its matching stole, maniple, chalice veil and burse. The colorful needlepoint orphreys on front and back of the chasuble feature the IHS symbol and a scrolling leaf design. The IHS is done in smaller petit-point stitches. The stole, maniple, chalice veil and burse are decorated with cross-shaped needlepoint appliques. The chasuble, stole, maniple and burse are lined with plain gold fabric. The stole and maniple have multi-colored fringe at each end. The chalice veil is lined with a peach-colored fabric. The chasuble measures 43.5 inches from the top of the shoulder to the back lower hem and 26 inches wide in the back. The stole is 86 inches long. The colors remain bright. The needlepoint is intact. The chasuble has some tears and stains on the front and a few small pale stains on the back. The stole lining has wear/tears on the edge. The maniple has losses to the white silk and tears along the lining edge. The chalice veil is stained in several places. The burse has corner wear. I try very hard to accurately describe my items. Because I deal mostly in vintage collectibles and antiques, most of my items will have signs of previous use or age wear. I will do my best to find a satisfactory resolution.
