It is a vintage handmade 1970s Gothic style clerical chasuble with matching stole in shimmering watered silk moire, vermilion red in coloration- unlined, and suitable for Feast Days such as Pentecost, Masses of the Holy Spirit and Martyr Saints. The chasuble has a back center applique of the Sacred Monogram name of Jesus in embroidered red set against metallic gold, and 3 wide repeating orphrey panels both front and back. The stole is lined in pale gold and has a protective white linen inset on the inside center neckline. The chasuble measures 44″ long from back center to lower edge, 28″ across from neck opening to outer arm length edge and the 10″ wide center oval has a three snap system flap 7″ long which may be opened for easier placing the garment over the head. The stole measures 44″ long from center kissing cross to lowers panel edge and is 4″ at its widest. This two piece vestment set was donated from a Canadian Catholic parish to a religious community in my area, proceeds form the sale to go towards their Catholic Charities; thus it has been used, but quite gently, graded as Fine, a little wear noted around the neckline only- a collectible vestment, all ready for re-use liturgically.
