This listing is for an Antique church Christian stole chasuble with silk metallic bullion fringes. Hand painted color sections, some are with glitter. All base fabric is gold color silk, and stole is completely lined. With red color sateen. Very good condition with some small exception, there is some small wear spot around the left side on neckline/please see pictures /The front length is about 35. Are part of my description, sometimes, there could be some deferens from original colors, due to the camera.. Please take look at my pictures and thanks for checking on my auctions. This listing is for an Antique 19c continental beautiful piece, Christian vestment chasuble religious liturgic for priest. The beautiful floral multicolor embroidery needlepoint /front and back/ is done by hand. All base fabric is gold metallic fine probably silk. Vestment is completely lined. With yellow color oil /cloth/ sateen. All borders are done. With heavy gold antique metallic ribbons. With no wearer at any places. The ecclesiastical garb first became peculiar in a strict sense when, under the influence of the migration of the Germanic tribes, the costumes as well as the forms of the ancient world passed away and the more convenient medieval dress was substituted, while the Church (and for a longer or shorter period, the upper classes and the higher officials also) clung to Roman or Greek fashions.
